The practical questions

Does it work without internet?
Yes. The on-site appliance is built to run offline — timing and scoring keep working through an internet drop, and data syncs to the cloud (roughly every 30 seconds) once the connection is back.
What scoreboard sizes are available?
Three: Compact (1.5m × 1m) for training and smaller pools, Standard (2m × 1.5m) for club competition and finals, and Grandstand (3m × 2m) for tournaments and major venues. All run at 3,000 nits and are portable.
What's included in the box?
Your LED scoreboard, 2 speakers, a mounting rack, cables and spares, a pair of shot clocks, the appliance, and 2 control tablets. Retrofit kits connect to your existing screen instead of supplying a new one.
Do we need special tablets?
Kits include tablets — we recommend Samsung Galaxy models for the best experience. Bring-your-own may be possible depending on your setup; just ask and we'll talk it through.
Can we rent for a one-off event?
Yes — scoreboards and shot clocks are available to rent for events and short-term needs. Ask us for event rental pricing.
How do referees sign off the scorecard?
Officials review the digital scorecard and sign off with a digital signature. The game is finalised when the controller marks it complete. Once finalised it can't be edited — protecting the integrity of the match record.
Can I keep my existing scoreboard?
In most cases, yes — that's exactly what the Retrofit Kit is for. We visit your venue, connect your screen to the platform and get you scoring digitally without buying a whole new board.
Does it integrate with our competition software?
Yes. KAP7 Live connects to any competition or results platform that offers an API — we pull team lists, schedules and rosters before a match and push results back after full time. You're never locked to one provider.
